We are celebrating school board appreciation month with a spotlight on our board members. School board members are unpaid and give the gift of their time to the community by preparing for and attending meetings, attending training and supporting the school at community events.
January is school board appreciation month and we are proud to spotlight our trustees. School board members are tasked with an important responsibility: educating nearly 50 million children – almost nine out of every 10 students – who receive their education in public schools.

Today, our elementary classes are kicking off the Read Bowl! For the next 4 weeks, each class will be competing against each other and against other students nationwide to get the most total reading minutes. This is an awesome opportunity to get our students reading and to have some fun along the way! Check out ReadWithMalcom.com to learn more about this program.

Scholarships for Texas Athletic, Music and Academic Participants. H-E-B will award 15 high school seniors who participate in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement in their communities.
Five students who compete in athletics (including cheer), five students who compete in music, and five more students who compete in academic events will be selected from the pool of applicants from across the state.

After careful consideration regarding potential winter weather conditions, Milford ISD will be closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
